Description

Fire-rated glass, clear or wired which all conform to BS476 Part 22 (FIRE) and in most cases BS6206 (SAFETY }

Information Needed When Choosing Fire Glass

1. Integrity: Length of time a glass will prevent the passage of smoke and flames.
2. Insulation: Length of time a glass will prevent the transmission of conductive and radiative heat.
3. Application:Whether glazing is internal or external.
4. Frame: Determines glass to be used.
5. Impact Perfomance:The safety rating required to BS6206 (i.e. Class A, B or C)
6. Size Of Panels: If the manufacturer’s maximum tested size is exceeded, the fire resistant properties of the product cannot be guaranteed.

The Products

Clear Fire Resistant Glass
10mm PYRODUR :A non-insulated clear laminated glass, for internal or external use only, with a ½ hour integrity only fire rating.
13mm PYRODUR: A non-insulated clear laminated glass, for internal or external use only, with a one hour integrity only fire rating.
15mm PYROSTOP: A insulated (up to ½ hour) clear laminated glass, for internal use only, with a one-hour integrity fire rating.
21mm PYROSTOP A insulated (up to one-hour) clear laminated glass, for internal use only*, with a one-hour integrity fire rating. *External grades are available to order.

Sealed Units

Units incorporating Pyrostop and a steel spacer bar can achieve two-hour insulation and two-hour integrity.
